Allow external OneDrive for Business users to sync folders
My users frequently want to share folders with external users (customers or partners) and are frustrated to find that these users can't sync the shared folders to their own filesystem. This functionality is widely used in competing solutions, and the limitation is significant enough to keep my users from leveraging OneDrive.

We are excited that B2B sync is now available in Production. This feature allows a user to sync folders that have been shared with them from another organization. For more information see this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/b2b-sync.

Not allowing external clients to sync shared OneDrive for Business contents to their local PCs is one of the unfortunate technical limitation of ODB. I vote for this feature and do hope that Microsoft will consider and develop it very soon.

I vote for this feature to be allowed. Government counterparts are very proactive and collaborative with WB operation staff and exchange documents regularly. It is vital to have this feature enabled. Thanks.

If you could sync a OneDrive folder with anybody external to your organization that would be one more more step towards being able to finally adopt Onedrive.Dropbox is indispensable because it makes it easy to sync with external users. To Sync with external users we need to use CloudHQ to sync onedrive with dropbox and dropbox to sync with external users - thats two subscription services i would not have to pay for if onedrive could sync with external clients directly

This feature has to be added!!! absolutely crazy you can only SYNC with users in your organization. The whole point of it being called OneDrive is so there is only One copy of the file that is always in-sync. We need to share files with clients all the time and having them download a copy doesnt make sense.

There are some developments in this matter? We are a small business, and we migrated from dropbox, and this is a very painful lack of ondrive for business service compared others.

This almost works in the new preview client - it lets you try before giving an error. I and my organisation would really like this feature

I agree. OneDrive really needs to operate more like DropBox. Right now it is missing some key syncing features. It would be great if one could share a file or folder with someone and have that file or folder appear in their OneDrive.
