  2. File Updating (or Uploading)

Just switched from Dropbox. In Dropbox, when I make changes to a file, it updates (or uploads) very quickly as if it only syncs the changes made. In OneDrive, I notice (by the size of the file) the entire file is being updated (or uploaded AGAIN). It's time-consuming and data wasting. Hope this is dealt with in the next update to OneDrive.

  3. Only one suggestion that everyone will agree with... Feature parity with the Windows version. That should be the baseline.

Only one suggestion that everyone will agree with... The Mac version should always have feature parity with the Windows version. That should be the baseline. We shouldn't have to ask for this. We should simply expect it.

  4. to add functionality to Mac app to open OneDrive in web browser, without signing in etc.

add functionality to Mac app to open OneDrive in web browser. There is only option to open folder in Mac and it's quite bothering, because everytime when I want to see files that are not synced I have to open browser, type web adress, sign in etc... and it is quite bothering. Opening OneDrive in web browser by pressing one button would be much easier.

  7. stop downloading files when low disk space

curvy version downloads until disk space runs out, then falls and requires re-signing

  8. Allow changing name of the local top-level folder to something other than \OneDrive.

OneDrive creates a /Users/alias/OneDrive folder as it's root. Allow changing ti to something more consistent with the other user folder names, like /Users/alias/Drive.

  13. Folder Badges

It would be really helpful to see which files and folders have already been synced by seeing those folder badges like dropbox and box.com have. Can OneDrive implement a feature like this please?

  16. mac

OneDrive really need a tool for monitoring what is happening on folders. I mean which folder are sync and which not, which is syncing and, maybe, what files.

  17. Speed up uploading thousands of very small files

I have a local backup of my GMail made with gmvault. It's a folder with subfolders and files amounting to several hundred thousand files.

    1. OneDrive stalls... my CPU starts working at 100% for several hours non-stop. I aborted it.

    2. I decided to try and upload a single sub-folder with just 1000 files. After taking some minutes to process it, OneDrive started uploading them one by one, taking over 3 seconds per file. This makes it impossible for me to upload the GMail backup into OneDrive.

    OneDrive should:

    1. Be able to cope with a folder of hundreds of…

  18. Create an iPhoto import tool for Mac

Please create an iPhoto import tool for Mac that enables Mac users to easily import all photos from iPhoto to OneDrive, similar to the iPhoto importer tool for Mac that Dropbox has.

  19. connection

My connection dropped (it happens). After one minute it got back again.
Check the difference between Dropbox icon and OneDrive on the attached image.
Dropbox felt the connection dropping, but also realised that it got back together and continued working. After I'm disconnected OneDrive just gives up, It never even bothers checking if my connection is back. I have to close and restar the software.

COME-ON! It should SYNC, so that means it should keep actively looking for my files and for my connection. This is not someone I hired and that needed a break because it got tired, THIS…
