  1. Indicate the "remaining time to download" for large picture folders

When dowloading multiple jpeg pictures at once in Mac OS, the size of the total download is not determined and therefore there is no way of knowing what is the progress of the download. As a result, it is easy to be mistaken to think that nothing is being dwonloaded until the downloadn is complete much later.

  2. Allow you to choose a folder in your mac (and PC) you just want the contents to be on the cloud

It would be great if could upload a folder to the one drive's cloud and only view its content on you mac (or PC). As long as you want some file from this folder, it would be automatically dowloaded.

This would be useful for people who doesn't have much space left in the hard drive and would like to share some content between the hard drive and the cloud

  3. Adding a top-level folder when offline

I'm using the new Mac Client, v: 17.3.6389. I have chosen only certain folders to sync. When working offline, I have created a new folder at the top level. This new folder does not automatically upload/sync to my OneDrive, and it does not show-up in the list of files/folders that are available to sync in the app preferences.

It appears that new folders created offline, at the 2nd level, automatically pick-up the preferences from the level 1 containing folder. However, there is no way to choose the sync preference for a new level 1 folder.

    I tested turning on ALL…

  4. Merge OneDrive and OneDrive for Business Menu Bar Icons on OS X

When you configure both a personal OneDrive account and a OneDrive for Business account on OS X, you end up with two identical icons in the menu bar.

Additionally, two icons just adds clutter to a already crowded area in OS X. Both icons should be merged, and the drop down menu should show details from both accounts.

  6. Allow OneDrive for Business Sync Client to recognize domain-bound Macs in the Enterprise

Allow OneDrive for Business Sync Client to recognize domain-bound Macs in the Enterprise.

Our company recently adopted the OneDrive for Business (OD4B)next generation sync client. As part of this adoption our internal Information Security team has set a security policy allowing only domain-bound workstations to leverage the OD4B sync client.

We are binding our Mac workstations to our corporate domain, just like our Windows workstations; however, Microsoft has told us that Macs are not truly bound to our corporate domain -- they are simply "associated" with our domain meaning our Mac workstations fall outside of this domain-bound security policy. This…

  8. Proper Network Home Folder Support

OneDrive for Mac, version 17.3.6389. Network accounts over SMB. OS X 10.11.4

No support for network home directories. When signing in with a network account, OneDrive errors with "There was a problem accessing your keychain".

It appears that the app is hard coded to look for the users keychain folder in /Users/USERNAME/Library/Keychains. While this is fine for local users, when working with network home directories, the Keychains folder path is /home/USERNAME/Library/Keychains. OneDrive does not recognise this, fails to write the keychain credential and refuses to work beyond that.

This is a massive and serious issue for organisations that use network…

  10. OneDrive

The OpenDrive app for mac should have the option to choose the path after initial setup was done. If you decide to move somewhere else in the Mac, this is not possible.
Make the effort and let us to decide where will be located the folder.

I am a 365 user using all the best from Microsoft and Mac.

    Thanks

  12. Mac users should have same functionality as PC.

Outlook 2016 for Mac should have Sharepoint integration like PC.

  15. Offline files MacOS

The MacOS app should be similar to the iOS app. You should be able to see all files within OneDrive (name and folders) only with some sort of icon (or grayed out) to show they are not available locally. Once double clicked, they are downloaded and opened.
There should be a cache amount on settings. Say, 50GB. OneDrive auto keeps the last 50GB downloaded or accessed on my Mac locally. As the 50GB is reached, the files that have not been acessed for the longest time gets deleted locally (available on the cloud) and the new one requested is downloaded. …

  16. Sync Finder metadata and permissions (OS X)

On Mac OS X, documents can have color labels and tags. These are currently not synced across devices using Onedrive. Same for file permissions.

  17. Cached Sync

Please add a sync chached options. On laptops with limited space because of ssd's this is really needed. If my onedrive is 1tb big i cant sync it all on my laptop. so why not allow a user defined cache for example 10gb and then 10gb of files will be kept on my laptop hdd and older files that i havent acced in a long time will be deleted but the recent files are still there. up to the cache limit i set.
pcloud.com is able to do it i am sure you guys are able too.
    thanks

  19. Implement a slightly different icon in the menu bar for ODB

Now that the OneDrive client for Mac can sync both OD and ODB, it would be nice if one of the icons in the menu bar was slightly different in some way to make it easier to tell them apart before clicking.

  20. Fix the error opening Word documents on organizations with 8 bits characters using OneDrive Next Gen Client

    Hello,
The One Drive Next Gen Client doesn't support 8 bit characters in the name of folders. In particular, the accent characters in the OneDriveBusiness folder that includes the organization name.
In case of organization names with 8 bit characters, we can't open Word documents from the syncronized folder.
