  5. Folder Badges

It would be really helpful to see which files and folders have already been synced by seeing those folder badges like dropbox and box.com have. Can OneDrive implement a feature like this please?

OneDrive really need a tool for monitoring what is happening on folders. I mean which folder are sync and which not, which is syncing and, maybe, what files.

  9. Speed up uploading thousands of very small files

I have a local backup of my GMail made with gmvault. It's a folder with subfolders and files amounting to several hundred thousand files.

    1. OneDrive stalls... my CPU starts working at 100% for several hours non-stop. I aborted it.

    2. I decided to try and upload a single sub-folder with just 1000 files. After taking some minutes to process it, OneDrive started uploading them one by one, taking over 3 seconds per file. This makes it impossible for me to upload the GMail backup into OneDrive.

    OneDrive should:

    1. Be able to cope with a folder of hundreds of thousands of files;

  10. Create an iPhoto import tool for Mac

Please create an iPhoto import tool for Mac that enables Mac users to easily import all photos from iPhoto to OneDrive, similar to the iPhoto importer tool for Mac that Dropbox has.

  11. connection

My connection dropped (it happens). After one minute it got back again.
Check the difference between Dropbox icon and OneDrive on the attached image.
Dropbox felt the connection dropping, but also realised that it got back together and continued working. After I'm disconnected OneDrive just gives up, It never even bothers checking if my connection is back. I have to close and restar the software.

COME-ON! It should SYNC, so that means it should keep actively looking for my files and for my connection. This is not someone I hired and that needed a break because it got tired, THIS…

  13. Real time monitoring in Mac client

It would be really nice and "helpful" to see a list of file changes or some kind of past activity in mac client. For instance, clicking dropbox icon on the menubar shows a list of recently changed items. It would be nice to have a similar thing.

Also, It would be really nice to have more finder integration with Onedrive.

    Thanks

  14. Create a direct delete option for files (bypass recycle bin)

Create an option to directly delete OneDrive files, thereby bypassing OneDrive's recycle bin.

  15. Why do I have to re-associate the OD4B sync folder on OSX whenever login attempts fail?

Right now if authentication fails to Office 365 (example no network connection) I am prompted to re-authenticate and re-associate my OD4B folder. This will be confusing and lead to user issues in a production environment.

  16. Allow the user to change the name of the OneDriveBusiness folder

Currently the user is only able to select the file path of where OneDrive for Business creates its folder, "OneDriveBusiness".

This is very annoying. I do not want my OneDrive for Business folder to be named that. I want my folder to be named just "OneDrive" or "Work Files" or whatever the heck I want it to be named. When I first saw the dialog to ask me "Where do you want the OneDrive folder to be located", I specified:

    /Users/MYUSERNAME/OneDrive/

    What I thought would happen:
    1. OneDrive would create a folder called 'OneDrive' in my useraccount folder and use…

  17. One Drive Back-Up Client for OSX (Consumer) supporting 10.9 and on for subscriber to Office 365

SW client driven back-up with back-up options and scheduling for consumers. Probably something that the One Drive for Business Already has. . . . .

  18. Support direct federated single sign on (SSO) on the Mac client

The Mac client currently is capturing my password, and Office 365 is serving as a proxy to authenticate my to our on-premise ADFS/Shibboleth federated SSO solution. This is not permissible according to the rules of our Information Security Office. This product (and all other Office 365 clients) need to support direct authentication against ADFS (or other SAML authenticators) before we can use it on our campus.

  20. Make it easier to choose folders for syncing (on Mac)

Setting up folders to sync on Mac was painful for me because all folders in "Choose Folders" were checked by default... I had to go through and uncheck each one. I only sync a few folders because this is my work machine (vs. home machine, with plenty of space, where I'm fine with syncing all of them.)

I'd like to see "uncheck all" and "check all" buttons.
