Allow the mac version to install OneDrive folder at removable disk
A lot of macs have expensive and limited SSDs and it would be convenient to be able to put the OneDrive folder at a external drive.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I can not believe this is STILL not an option. Guess I'll have to stick with Google Drive & DropBox, way to go Microsoft...

Allowing this would remove the constraint of requiring a case insensitive file system by synching oneDrive to a Disk Image

Ridiculous that it doesn't allow me to use the inexpensive, SDCard adapter from Transcend to augment my storage and have OneDrive sync to it ... it's not a difficult thing to do (even it a disconnect causes a re-sync that's fine with me). Internal storage on a Macbook Air is expensive and not expandable (same use case applies for tablets like the Surface, which is also a Microsoft product)...
I pledge to boycott Office 365 (which i paid for) if this isn't fixed. Please repost so we can get Microsoft to make an effort here.
I need to be able to do this! Alfredo, how did you get this to work?
Allow OneDrive folder to sync to external/removable storage (i.e. micro SD card) on OS X.

I have Onedrive folder installed in an external removable hard disk and it works (MAC OS X)
This would be very convinient. We hope it will be ready soon since the Windows version supports this for now.
I would love this one. It's useless to move applications or system files to an external drive.
Allow OneDrive to sync to removable media on MAC

Give us an opportunity to have OneDrive folder on SD Card or other "removable" media on Mac. Cause for computers with low storage, like MacBook Air or MBP with 128 SSD, it is not so smart to sync to main storage and different expanders, like JetDrive looks as a good idea to sync files to, but this is not possible right now.
I get a message that OneDrive can not sync to an external drive - the reasons vary (case-sensitive Journal or not).
I have a MacBook Air with limited storage (128GB) so I just bought a 128 GB SDXC UHS-1 with an adapter. Ideally and ideal solution to sync my OneDrive to...but no joy.
There must be way to do this?! Seems others on Windows platforms have found solutions ( http://totalsurfacearea.com/how-to-sync-skydrive-to-a-removable-micro-sd-card/#comment-660 ) but I can not translate the solution to my OS.
So my brilliant tech nerd friends - walk me through this?

OneDrive should support local sync locations on external storage media such as SDXC cards.
This is currently not supported and the only reason for not using Microsoft OneDrive at all despite being the cloud storage service that has provided me with the largest amount of free storage space.
I would be happy to change to Microsoft OneDrive but with this major limitation, I will never do that.
A lot of other people has expressed the same.
