Allow the mac version to install OneDrive folder at removable disk
A lot of macs have expensive and limited SSDs and it would be convenient to be able to put the OneDrive folder at a external drive.
Thanks for the suggestion.

It doesnt matter if Microsoft does not recommend the install of OneDrive in removable drives. As the initial request stated some Apple computers come with very limited SSDs and thats a huge problem! It should be possible to install OneDrive in removable disk, its a must have feature!

Oh TRUST ME, you are much better off with Google Drive. Until MS fixes the sync issues with OD, don't even worry yourself about switching to OneDrive. Google Drive just works, Period. I wish I had never switched.
i agree, please add this feature. I also have same case.

One Drive is as good as unusable for me due to the poor support of an External Drive on a Mac.
Por favor, implementem a opção de sincronização de SD Cards através do Onedrive para Mac. Os concorrentes oferecem esse recurso há muito tempo.

I can use Aliased drives with Dropbox and with Creative Cloud but not OneDrive -- where I have most of my stuff. Help me get many gigs of data off of my poor, beleaguered Mac drive!
Bottom line: This is keeping me from using Microsoft's cloud services exclusively.
I will also be moving from OneDrive too, I need this feature as my Mac has a 128GB SSD and I have over 50GB of photos on OneDrive alone

How can this not be a thing yet? Even allowing an alias on the Mac HD that points to another drive like an external drive or Jet Drive would be a decent workaround for now, although I would think you could do better than that.
I only have 128GB hard drive on my Macbook Air. I don't have enough available storage to put all my cloud files on my hard drive. OneDrive will not allow syncing to external USB or SD card, so I currently use Google Drive for my cloud storage. Would love to use OneDrive, but can't.

Without this feature, I will not renew my Office 365 subscription for an additional year.
Features like these, should be build in by default just like Google has with its Drive app.

This is a much needed feature, without which I'm not being able to use OneDrive at all. If this feature is not gonna be available in the coming releases then I (like most others) will be left with no other option but to move to another cloud storage system.

I wish this function allowing to put One Drive folder at the removal disk such as SDXC card which can be accessible from both Mac and Windows. Many Macbook users are struggling with to keep a free storage space in the Macbook's SSD especially when usinb both operating system. The OneDrive folder shared by Mac and Windows (installed in Bootcamp partition) will be a great help.
This is something that I see as a higher priority than anything else!
Plz add this feature. Cant understand why this is still not working..

I can not believe this is STILL not an option. Guess I'll have to stick with Google Drive & DropBox, way to go Microsoft...

Allowing this would remove the constraint of requiring a case insensitive file system by synching oneDrive to a Disk Image

Ridiculous that it doesn't allow me to use the inexpensive, SDCard adapter from Transcend to augment my storage and have OneDrive sync to it ... it's not a difficult thing to do (even it a disconnect causes a re-sync that's fine with me). Internal storage on a Macbook Air is expensive and not expandable (same use case applies for tablets like the Surface, which is also a Microsoft product)...
I pledge to boycott Office 365 (which i paid for) if this isn't fixed. Please repost so we can get Microsoft to make an effort here.
I need to be able to do this! Alfredo, how did you get this to work?
