Mac users Beware: OneDrive unable to sync w/ Mac & won't accept special characters from Word Documents

I have been extremely disappointed with One Drive and would not recommend it. Prior to purchasing the product I spoke with 2 Microsoft Representatives who assured me One Drive would meet my needs and would work just "fine" on my Mac computer. None of this is true. I have now spent at least 5 phone calls with Level 3 Microsoft technicians attempting to resolve syncing issues with Mac and One Drive. Today I was told as my final answer that One Drive will NOT sync with my "Document" folder on my computer. Completely unacceptable since both Google Drive AND Icloud are able to sync my folder directly. Next huge issue: I copied 1 folder from my document folder onto One drive and One Drive reported over 300 "error" in my files. After level 3 technicians became involved, it was determined that One Drive will not accept any special characters, nor will it accept any spaces at the beginning or end of the file name or documents names. What this entailed was ~ 3hours of my personal time going through this 1 folder to correct all file names. I have at least 12 other folders I wanted to add to One Drive to use for work. But I can't fathom the idea of spending countless hours and hours going through file names to rename. Completely unacceptable. Again, both google drive AND Icloud sync up the files without any changes to the name file names. This is even more ridiculous since it is a Microsoft Word document, and One Drive is a Microsoft product. Microsoft should be able to accept file names from it's own product! (considering google drive and iCloud accept the names). I would not recommend it to anyone wanting to save Word documents onto One Drive, nor anyone wanting One Drive to sync up with folders that already exists on your Mac computer.
