Bring the Choose folders option back in the OneDrive syncing setup
I am referring to this MS site where it says that choosing the folders before the setup process is done is available (and it used to be!): https://support.office.com/en-us/article/sync-files-with-onedrive-on-mac-os-x-d11b9f29-00bb-4172-be39-997da46f913f
Even when using Files on Demand, it takes a long time to setup OneDrive when you have a 160 GB folder. Choosing what folders to sync was a helpful step in this process.

Totally agree. I have a 400GB folder with thousands of small files in, and it took about 10 hours for the folder to Sync up before I could hide it, despite files on demand being turned on. During that time, OneDrive was unusable and taking up quite a lot of CPU usage. Quite a mad decision to remove the option in the first place; not sure what the thinking behind it was.
I've also have an issue with overheating my macbook pro by this sync!! I WANT TO CHOOSE FOLDERS BEFORE THE SYNC!!! Please, hear us!

Forcing the full file list sync on first setup on my new Mac is NOT WANT I WANT TO DO !! It has been hogging my resources and overheating my Mac Mini for a few days. I have now uninstalled the OneDrive app and will be using iCloud instead. I pay for Office365 so am starting to wonder if it is worth it given the only problem I am having with the Mac Mini is a Microsoft issue.
I want this feature back!!!
Please return this option back! I don't want to download 330 gb folder with my images and videos on my laptop, I WANT TO CHOOSE FOLDERS BEFORE THE SYNC!
