Make Files on Demand available in older Mac OS version
I've got a lot of old Macbook Air computers with 128 or 256 gb SSDs at our nonprofit that I don't want to take to the dumpster. Nobody at Microsoft has been able to explain to me why Files on Demand requires Mojave OS. Documentation says it needs APFS formatted volume. I've got that. I've also heard that Onedrive needs Apple Finder extensions. Those exist in High Sierra. So what' the problem? What can be done to make it work? Any way of bypasing the installer checking what version of the OS I am running?
Still very happy with my 2011 Macbook Pro (also max update supported to High Sierra), but not having any way of using OneDrive On Demand is a very big miss. Only thing I can add is that I can use the On Demand function on that same Macbook Pro when booting into Windows 10 using BootCamp, so it certainly is not a hardware issue. Would be really great if Microsoft could make this compatible with 10.13.
