Continue to improve sync speeds, they make the product unusable
I signed up for Office 365, thinking I could use it to replace my Google Drive. However, after a couple days of uploading data to One Drive, I have come to the conclusion that I won't be able to use it since it is so slow in uploading files. I uploaded a batch of files from my Mac to Google Drive last week, and it took one evening to finish. I am now trying to upload the same batch of files from my Mac to One Drive, and I'm 24 hours in and less than 25% done. It also appears to push the processor much more than Google Drive when uploading files, making the system run much hotter.
Spending $70-100 a year for the latest version of Office and One Drive is a price I'm willing to spend. However, if you take One Drive out of the equation, the value is just not there for me and I will likely cancel my Office 365 subscription.
I see a lot of posts on this site complaining about the upload speeds, and I also see official responses announcing it has been improved with the latest desktop client, followed by another large batch of posts saying it isn't. Please keep in mind that any new features you add to One Drive are irrelevant until you fix this core functionality.
I'd much rather have one or two files sync quickly than seven files sync slowly. The transfer speeds are like dial-up.

Totally agree. I won't be using Office OR OneDrive.
