Support for MacOS 10.15 - Catalina
Due to Apple's new privacy and security measures in the Mac OS file system in their upcoming version 10.15 Catalina. OneDrive can no longer function properly due to no longer having full access the the drive despite enabling full disk access in System Preferences. OneDrive will not be able to locate the main folder due to the 10.15 now having two separate volumes by default. One is for the MacOS system files and the other is your data drive. I'm not sure what other problems are causing OneDrive to not work but I hope it is fixed before 10.15 is…

Sync Shared Folders on New Mac app cleint
The new Mac app client states that shared folders will not sync. However, in the UserVoice, Jason Moore says that they will sync. What is the status of this?

Finder tag syncing across Macs
Hello. I have recently started using finder tags on my iMac. I keep nearly all May data on OneDrive now—it’s great! But all the tags I’ve applied to my documents on the iMac don’t sync to my MacBook. That stinks!
Apparently Dropbox does support finder tag syncing. So it’s possible. Please add this feature to OneDrive! Thanks.

Allow syncing on case-sensitive file systems
Really not understandable that this is a "not right now". This would possibly make me use it.

On Battery Pause Sync By Default (Parity with Windows)
Currently on Mac, OneDrive chews A LOT of power. One thing I have noted in testing on Virtual Machines with Windows is that the Windows version pauses sync by default on battery which would be ideal.
Please look at adding this (in addition to other battery saving optimisations). As it would at least bridge the gap until other power saving optimisations could be employed.

Bring the Choose folders option back in the OneDrive syncing setup
I am referring to this MS site where it says that choosing the folders before the setup process is done is available (and it used to be!): https://support.office.com/en-us/article/sync-files-with-onedrive-on-mac-os-x-d11b9f29-00bb-4172-be39-997da46f913f
Even when using Files on Demand, it takes a long time to setup OneDrive when you have a 160 GB folder. Choosing what folders to sync was a helpful step in this process.

Manual Sync Now Button for Mac
For the love of all that is good and holy, please add a manual "Sync Now" option for Macs. When I open my laptop to work on a project that I had begun earlier on a different computer, then I click on the OneDrive icon that tells me that it is "up to date" and that my files "last updated 23 hours ago," the app ceases to be useful. A "Sync Now" button would fix that problem in a hurry. As it is, I have to close the program and reopen it in order to get it to sync.

Command or plist to report current Sync status
We need the ability to determine the current sync status of OneDrive on our fleet of macOS clients. Using a client management platform (eg. JAMF, AirWatch etc) we would like to determine the current sync status using a script or reading a plist. We can then notify our in-house support team of OneDrive sync issues, so we can proactively assist users.
Could the current sync status be written to a local preferences file or accessible via a command line query?
Command Example:
/Applications/OneDrive.App/Contents/MacOS/OneDrive /synstatusreturns on the following:
Ok
Syncing
Paused
ErrorPreference file Example:
defaults read com.microsoft.OneDrive.plist CurrentSyncStatus

Merge OneDrive and OneDrive for Business Menu Bar Icons on OS X
When you configure both a personal OneDrive account and a OneDrive for Business account on OS X, you end up with two identical icons in the menu bar.
Additionally, two icons just adds clutter to a already crowded area in OS X. Both icons should be merged, and the drop down menu should show details from both accounts.

First class support for macOS AutoSave feature
Many macOS applications I use as part of my workflows while operating on documents I keep in OneDrive synced folders use the built in macOS Auto Save feature (which includes the ability to revert to previous versions of a file) and OneDrive has some compatibility issues with this feature. I cannot keep "Use Office applications to sync Office files that I open" turned on because otherwise the afore mentioned AutoSAve-ing applications often interrupt my work with modal windows telling that "the document could not be saved. The file has been changed by another application."
Would be really nice if the…

OneDrive on OSX should have the option to not launch at startup.
in OSX, I want OneDrive NOT to launch on startup. I don't want to see the icon in the white menu bar at the top of the screen unless I go into the Application folder and 'manually' launch OneDrive. I don't want Onedrive immediately engaging the cloud on startup. With Dropbox I have this set. The DB icon is in my Dock. Dropbox synchs ONLY when I tell it to. I want Onedrive to allow this same level of control. Its a great product but unless I can prevent auto launch I'll only be using Onedrive for extra STORAGE in…

Selective Sync on Mac needs to continue even if it cannot sync a particular file (.DS_Store file was culprit).
I installed the new version of OneDrive for Business (MacOS), with selective sync.
Whenever it got to a ".DSStore" file, though, it would get "hung up", and would stop syncing. I contacted MS Tech Support and was directed to an article which appeared to be helpful in that it clearly addressed the issue I was experiencing, and eventually was able to get the Mac to complete the sync by deleting the .DSStore files (which was a bit of a challenge, but I figured it out). The issue is not just that the Mac won’t sync the “.ds_store” files,…

Allow renaming the local folder so the OneDrive folder name doesn't always turn out so long (especially if you have Office 365 at work). "Your Name - Your Employer's Name" doesn't look good in the Finder sidebar.

Mac Time Machine backup to OneDrive
The massive storage we get for the price we pay is great but I expected to be able to backup my laptops, PC and Macs, to my OneDrive. Currently I have a solution for file storage with OneDrive and a separate solution for disk image backups of my devices. Please figure out a way to backup OS and Windows disk images to OneDrive
