Favorite folders and files
Can you add a feature to add favourite folders or files for quick access. Not like the recent folder. Like a list of bookmarks that never changes.
We’re working on a feature to flag folders and files to access later. This feature will be for commercial accounts (business) initially.

Any update on this very basic request? Google Drive offered this ages ago. Surely not that difficult to implement?

Any update on this?
As we are moving off of our organization's network drives to OneDrive, I am seeing more and more need for flagging, favorites, pinning documents/folders. Please push this out - it can't be that hard?

It's been around 2 years and Microsoft is still "Working on it"? Guys please make it fast. Such an important feature missing.
ABSURD that you don't have this yet. Jeez.

Favorite folders and/or files should be memorized based on the top or bottom level location (breadcrumb). For frequently used folders and/or files, the search function alone is not ideal.

I've had to start copying files to Dropbox to send to clients. They expect to be able to star and EASILY comment. (OneDrive requires you to click the info icon to open the comment pane.)
Guys - this fits right in with your strategy. Frankly, you should be ahead of the competition on this and let people set custom categories!
Why isn't this done already. My guess? Cuz the sharepoint file system/database doesn't support it, and it was built however long ago.
It's flipping stupid this isn't done.
Shouldn't starring our files considered normal to do in 2020?
Is it yet possible to star or favorite a folder or file?

On my first months free trial of OneDrive. I can't believe it doesn't have a "Quick Access" area like in Windows file explorer. This makes OneDrive so difficult to use I'm wondering whether to bother. Even being able to make our own shortcuts would be useful.

We are just migration from Google drive to One drive, my working position now, i have to check few same files, and it's quite annoying every time i have to search them in the box.
@admin, any updates on the roadmap for this requested feature? I waste soooo much time looking for files that I need to access quickly. I really need the ability to favorite my most important files, especially those I don't have the ability to reorganize because they are owned by other users.
was this feature ever added? not a tough ask IMO ...
How is this not a feature yet? Seriously. MS has been "working on it" for literally a year? (last update as of this comment was July 15, 2019)
How is such a basic feature missing?
Starring a document so it is easy to find in your favorites has been in G Suite for – I can't even remember how long.
When will this be implemented?
I could not find any instructions on how to favorite a document in MS 365/SharePoint.
Soo... Dropbox is seriously outpacing in collaboration. Like, it's 2020 now. Neither OneDrive NOR OneDrive for Business have this. We need to be able to - if not label - at least star files. I'm so annoyed I have to use dropbox whenever I want to collaborate in a file folder.

Working from home and it would be really helpful if I could have favorites or quick access folders like I do on my desktop at work for my frequently used folders.

I was about to switch over to OneDrive from Dropbox. No favorites I’ll just continue to subscribe to Dropbox. I can’t see myself paying for a feature that every other company added years ago, yet Microsoft is still claiming they are working on it.

Let's go Microsoft! It's approaching one year since you said you were working on this.
that would be helpful!
