Rearrange the order of photos in an album
It would be really useful to make path to rearrange the order of photos in an album by dragging. Also I need to choose by myself the cover photo of the album, not to be selected at random. Thank you in advance!

Wanted to provide an update: we’ll consider this for our roadmap going forward, but don’t have any further specifics we can share at this time.

What a worthless application if you cannot rearrange photos in an album. MS proving again it is clueless.

Found that OneDrive uses date uploaded on iOS but date taken on the web when displaying an album.
If you're not going to allow us to fully manually rearrange an album, at least use a consistent sorting method between platforms and allow users to toggle it.

I'm amazed that this is not done after five years. With all that time passed, maybe even a random code generator would nail it.

We have this issue for quite sometime now-- Dragging and Dropping of Multiple photos from Onedrive web-view is currently not working!
I have to sync my Sharepoint/Onedrive to be able to seamlessly drag and drop files via file explorer
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/sync-files-with-onedrive-in-windows-615391c4-2bd3-4aae-a42a-858262e42a49-No Support for Rearranging Photos/Files from web
-Only Move per one Item.
-Drag and Drag not working for multiple photos -

I agree with all the other comments. This would be such a useful feature.

In Photo app the images are store backwards from the order the camera /phone took them. If you take a continuous shot of an event the images automatically are stored backwards. Just need to reverse the orde,,,,

OneDrive albums are entirely useless without being able to set the order of the photos. Think of a physical album of photos. If you were required to place paper photos in the exact order you took them, you'd pull your hair out!! An album is an organization of photos to *tell a story*.

Being able to rearrange photos in a OneDrive album to create a custom order is essential. I was very surprised to find that it's not already possible. Drag and drop to create a custom order seems to be the way to go. Thanks.

I agree wholeheartedly!! I uploaded a couple thousand pictures in about the same week and they are ALL jumbled. Where I had a nice, neatly organized "file cabinet" that is my phone gallery, now I have a ton of them to go through to find a set of 8 or so that used to have their own folder!!!!

Why is not the file-order saved in a folder taken for the newly created album :-o??? What a mess :-/. The photos are coming totally random, as the Nexus mobile did not save the EXIF data but the file name. Please, allow me at least to use the file-name or at least the folder-save order! Thank you

You create an album from a file after hitting "save sort order" and the order changes in the album? Hopeless. I echo all previous comments. Get this sorted Outlook....

Why??? From a technical perspective it cannot be hard to associate ordering with the images in an album. Are there legal or patent issues? If so, let us know. If not, it is a huge miss.

Unbelievable this isn't already available. Who programs these applications without common sense? You can rearrange photos in the folders themselves, but can't do this when creating an album? So idiotic.

Albums are not very useful without the ability to order the photos. Please add this feature.

I am shocked that this can't be done. In my case, I have 2 cameras and one had an incorrect time so merging puts things out of order. I should be able to correct this by rearranging in the proper order. Please fix this.
