Allow bit.ly short links
I can't create a short link in OneDrive anymore, so I'd like to use bit.ly to create customized, short URLs with data analysis. Bit.ly customer service tells me that "Microsoft made the decision to change their account settings with Bitly and no longer allow that feature for their users until they work on some reinforced security on their website."
Funny, you can't shorten OneDrive Shared links, you know, the safe kind, that take you direct to a file or folder and don't allow you back up the tree.
But you CAN shorten the URL from your OneDrive web version. That allows people who have the link to go back up the tree and to access all your files...
So how is that helpful, Microsoft?

super bummer - now that I don't have google url shortener - I can't use bit.ly, and microsoft won't bother to create short link.
It's a bs.

Over 2 years later and this is still a problem. Why use MS products? They are useless.

Can't create shortened link in bit.ly but goo.gl still allows me to create a shortened link.
That used to be available as a bit.ly branded shortener. But 1D got rid of it for various reason:
If security was an issue, may issue a pin (4 or 5 digits) in the share/email of the link to prevent random/brute force search as an added layer of security?
