OneDrive sync with File Explorer so that the transition to these files is easy without have to store files to be 'availalble offline'
I do think there could be a feature built into OneDrive to sync what is stored on it with File Explorer so that the transition to these files is seamless. Does it really matter to the computer where the file is stored? As long as it can be found and the user can access the location it makes no difference. The drawback to using any cloud storage is that the lack of internet service eliminates file access. However just knowing where the file is stored and keeping the location synced on OneDrive with the local computer when internet access is available would seem to me to be an improvement that Microsoft could consider now that cloud storage is the norm.
I just had to take over 100Gb of files from being 'Available Offline' to free up my hard drive. Accessing is only possible when online, which I get, but if File Explorer was synced then you could at the very least know whether the file you are looking for is on OneDrive or not whether online or not. Having that on the local computer might make the need to have many files available offline unnecessary. This is especially important as the number of files grows with more use.
