Merge two folders with the same name don't create duplicates - OneDrive.com Cloud
Option to allow two or more folders to merge together into one folder when moving one folder into a different folder that contains a folder with the same name as the one being moved.
Your 500 votes policy is ridiculous! I'm sure there are far more than 500 votes for this category already, I just didn't feel like reading through all 5000 plus search results to find one that matched my idea exactly. Every time I added a word to my search, instead of narrowing down my search results it kept adding more search results.

If I have a folder of 500 gb and add a few files (now 500.1 gb) I have to delete the entire folder off the OneDrive (for which I will get emails and notifications warning me that I'm deleted big files) only to re-upload the new 500.1 gb folder anew. Which will take maybe 4 hrs if I'm lucky and there are no errors. What a waste of time. For the cost of this "cloud" service, its easier to carry a 5 Tb external drive and keep a second as a backup.
i thought onedrive was the answer to my computer back up problems. it's become the bane of my existence MOSTLY because of this stupid problem.
Ridiculous this does not exist yet.
Please add this feature in as I need to merge similar folders together on OneDrive but it creates duplicates even with the same name.
Same happens with Google Drive (online version).
Im my case, it'll be a pain in the neck to download almost 2TB of files to my PC AND THEN merge de folders I wish AND THEN upload this huge amount of files.
I was looking to abandoning Google Drive if OneDrive had this
but apparerently seems no cloud service provider wish to give their users power to eventually save storage space with this feature...
might hurt their revenue...

This essential option should not depend on the amount of voices. It is a basic function in the Windows environment and it should be in OneDrive also. The Original idea is already 2 years old.

OneDrive sync *********. It didn't sync due to "Files/Folders already exists". So I renamed the folders. Bad idea. Now I have two copies of some files, but not all because I stopped the crazy sync halfway.
Now I need to merge all my folders to regain my normal structure.
Why the **** does that simple operation not work in a Windows environment. Looking after alternatives on Dropbox, Google Drive and others now.

absolutly agree, that we could save time in the case that we have many folders with mounts of files. In my case i'm MAC user, and it's not very useful the optionc button when moving files, because after that you check boths folders, and size is not the same so .. does not work.

One Drive Folder management should have all functionalities applicable for folder management on computer. Merging, replacing of the files are the common functionalities, which needs to be there.
