Fix sync problem with Onedrive for shared folder
I have a problem with syncing a shared folder onto my OneDrive Desktop. I tried every possible troubleshooting procedures I could find on Microsoft website and forums but none of them work. I run Windows 8.1. My version of Windows and OneDrive are both uptodate. I can see my private folder on my desktop and the OneDrive server. They sync perfectly. But I have a folder someone shared with me (--MEA) that I can not see on my Desktop. I have enough space on my C:\ drive. Thanks in advance for your fixing this issue! I contacted the support on OD (Ryan M.) and he told me: " When someone shares a folder from their OneDrive account with you, it doesn't appear in your Desktop app or folders. It will only be available ONLINE. If you want to then download a copy of the files, you can download them from the web app and store them on your computer." which is total non-sense!! Who else has the problem?
I don't know why it's not possible to sync shared folders to OneDrive - this is standard in Google Drive and Dropbox and was enabled in OneDrive previously... this is a huge handicap.
