Creating and using self-designed templates in OneDrive/SharePoint/Teams
I work in IT for a school district, and we have several template documents we use for daily operations. It would be great if opening a template stored in OneDrive and/or Teams would create a new document based on that template instead of editing the original template, similar to how it works in the full versions of Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Maybe a 'New' option when right-clicking on a template?
I know this is an old topic, and that the files experience is being reworked so files will be using the same services. Here's a vote hoping that the 'Add template' that exists in the current SPO document library new menu item is part of that experience...
This would make it easier to people to start their documents off in OD.

This has been deployed direct on the SharePoint site, but it doesn't work in the OneDrive web view (MySite.aspx). It would make lives much easier if we could utilise the SharePoint Templates from the OneDrive view of the SharePoint sites we're following
