Better UI for recycle bin
I ran into a situation ticket 809018 for reference where I had a bunch of files that got deleted and moved to recycle bin, When I tried to restore all 2705, the UI got stuck with restoring and the popover when clicking on the status showed that the restore never started. With the microsoft tech, we looked at a couple in the list and the few that we checked looked like they were restored yet still remained in the recycle bin. The tech talked about lots of files and folder creating lots of traffic. The system should provide a better UI to tell the user how many files/folders should be restored at a time and deny them for example if too many are detected. We currently get a 500 error on the console when trying to restore any of the files that are in the recycle bin. Any new files that are deleted are restored fine from the recycle bin but my recycle bin is clutttered with over 200 files that I am afraid to empty but do not have time to go through file by file to see if it actually deleted. If a 500 error from the server than surface a user friendly message (e.g., file already restored) and remove that file from the list in the recycle bin as opposed to a manual effort by the user. To repro this problem, I suggest set up a one drive folder from a MAC with a bunch of files and then access one driver folder from a PC. Make edits from the PC to files on the one driver folder. Power up the MAC and make sure new and updated files are synced to the MAC. Make some changes to files on the MAC locally which is mapped to the onedrive folder. Now go back to the PC and make sure the shared onedrive folder contains an accurate representation of all existing, new, and modified files. If necessary (even though I did not do), delete files from either machine and verify whether you can restore from recycle bin. Thank you.
