allow buyer of 1 tera storage the ability to upload much larger number of files than currently allowed
If you sell 1 tera space, why do you only allow 1000 files (or 10 G, whichever is smaller?) for each uploading????? I have about 80,000 photos in about 400 G to upload. That is why I am paying $10 per month for the 1 tera storage space in OneDrive. But, at the pace you allow me, I have no idea when I will be able to get all my files uploaded. Even if I had all my files in neat 1000-pieces chunks (folders), which of course is not true, I still need to upload 80 times, when I should have been able to just upload all at once. Being able to upload and store large number of files is why I buy 1 tera, and isn't that why you sell 1 tera space product???. Your uploading permit should be proportional to the size of your storage product, isn’t it? Otherwise, why are you selling such product??? It is going to be a very long painful process. Hope someone can help me.
I am familiar with one of the best managed service providers to backup virtual machines, databases and servers to local / mapped network drive, locally hosted backup server, or online backup server hosted in datacenter. You can run virtualized backup server instance on public cloud such as Amazon S3 so that you don't need to maintain any server and storage hardware. Check Ahsay Backup Software .
I have the same problem. I have over 90,000 files in 1,158 folders totalling 921Gb to upload. The web interface is quick but the 1000 file limit is a major hurdle. I have tried the mapped drive via WebDAV approach but so far that has taken 6 DAYS to upload just 10Gb of files which means over A YEAR to upload everything.
Is there no way to actually use this onedrive space? Come on Microsoft, give us a working solution!!
