Implement a folder tree like Google Drive. It would make navigating and moving files around much easier.
I'm surprised this isn't already a feature. Clicking through folder labels to get to where I want to go is irritating. It'd be much better to expand a folder tree and go right where I need to. We need a navigation pane for a more friendly UI experience.
Wanted to provide an update here: this is something we’re planning on doing, but don’t have a timeframe to share yet
This would be a killer feature for our OneDrive for Business users. It should thus work for both personal and business accounts as well as Sharepoint document libraries. In fact, everything on the left side of the web view, should be arranged into a tree view, including “Shared with me”.

I do not understand that until now this option is 100% basic, not implemented in OneDrive.
Is there another channel to send the request?
Almost 3000 votes, how many do you need before implementing this?
Hi Douglas, I am back! Did you miss me?
How many votes Douglas?
Do you still work for MS?
Common sense would tell you to at least drop a quick comment to all of us who are waiting for this feature to be implemented but ....
Douglas, you need votes to make your cloud file program work better? How about sorry we should have done that from the beginning, after all we are the operating system manufacturer and understand what a File Explorer is and why it is important. Have no idea why we didn't do it right from the beginning and we are getting right on it...
Don't worry about it, its ok I'm sure your product is JUST fine the way it is.
Very sad this isn't an option for OneDrive in the web. I noticed there is already a SharePoint online feature for site collections called 'Enable Tree View' under Site Settings | Navigation Elements which adds a tree like navigation to the left side of the site collection. Since OneDrive for Business is just site collections, I'm surprised they haven't been able to get something like this setup as an option. Clicking through folders feels like many steps backwards in UX

Hi, I agree great idea
At least this way we can see the full file name without having to open it. This is completely unproductive. Moving to another product until you fix it.

No... Google Drive is so annoying like that.... I don't want that.
How many do you need Douglas?
Give us a number
"Folder" is the easiest way to use a file system... at least most people know how to navigate. I think MS should have implemented this on day 1!
One year and a half later and 2391 votes and this is still an issue??
With so many missing features in Outlook and Onedrive I am surprised I still use MS services. (not for long though)
Douglas, how many votes do you need to make this happen?
Please add this feature, without it, I find Google Drive very frustrating.
Organizing and navigation without a visible treestructure makes us users angry and disappointed.
il y a bcp de difficultés à ouvrir les transferts envoyés par mes correspondants .la moitié partent ds le vent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't understand how this isn't already implemented either. Can we do it, OneDrive gods? Please? :D
Is there a strategic reason for Microsoft NOT to implement the directory tree? I never met a user who was not surprised that this functionality is not a standard functionality.
(sorry I appear as 'Anonym' with my long comment. I didnt intend, and actually my status at top is 'stay signed in'...?
Good that this suggestion has many votes, and is noticed by Microsoft...! I agree with comments. I guess you are aware of the importance, and has some production and implementing time... anyway, its actually hard to figure out why your so high profiles OneDrive, with 1 Tb capacity, has so limitied funktionality compared with working on your own harddrive using file-threes, subfolders etc. etc.
If you want OneDrive to be people new online drive, then start with a functionality that is similar to Windows Explorer -and now when this hasnt happened, I hope it is so very high at ýour priority list, so it will be launched in very near future! :-)
Dont get me wrong: I am a through many years satisfied and happy windows-, office-, outlook- etc. user, and I just want microsoft solutions to be as good and workable as possible! And here is a major field where OneDrive miss functionality! Massive!
So shortly put: You like us to use OneDrive as main storage, right? Make the OneDrive folder on the computers desktop syncronize with no limitations, smooth, with all subfolders, all documents, as long file-path's as on the computer, regardless of zip-files, 'no administrator rigths' for documents, etc. etc. etc. and keep uploading and syncronizing the lokal OneDrive to the OneDrive-in-the-sky no matter if the internetconnection is broken (then just continue uploading where it stopped). Let OneDrive-in-the-sky be working exactely as a folder on our desktop! THEN it will be workable, usefull and with less need to go to Dropbox etc. (because they can make this work today). Just to say :-)
So keep up the good work at microsoft! I still love your products and windows 10! <3 ;-)
Best regards Peter
