  1. Permission user folders

    Good work!
We are testing the synchronization between different dividends in SharePoint linked to user accounts.
We have encountered an unnecessary problem.
When a user has no permissions for a folder, it appears with a red cross and sync message appears.

In the mobile app, the folders for which the user is not authorized does not appear, so it should be.
When do you plan to fix this?

We’re working on the ability to include your O365 organization’s branding in sharing email notifications by integrating with the existing Azure Active Directory “Company Branding” feature. If you’ve got company branding configured in AAD, it will appear automatically in OneDrive sharing emails.

      • Allow a Guest Link for a video to play in the browser

When I share a video from OneDrive for Business using a guest link, I want viewers to be able to play the video in the browser.
Currently, they have to download the video before playing it.

        • “only accessible over a selected Windows LiveID” (not all Live IDs)

basically I really like the share function in OneDrive and OneNote. Unfortunately I’m not able to prevent unauthorized access to a share via link. Everyone who gets access to this link is also able to access my share (for example if I send this link to the wrong e-mail receiver).

It would be a lot more secure if there is an option called “only accessible over a Windows LiveID” (not all Live IDs). Sadly at the moment, without any security option, this sharing feature is totally insecure.

          Note:
Did anyone of you recognize, that there is no option to share…

          • Add a notification possibility for download links

I'm using OneDrive a lot for giving customers a download link for making files available
I'm able to configure an expiration date but it would be great to have a notification by email
when the file is downloaded so I can remove it.

            • Co-authored albums

The new albums feature is great. But I can share albums only as read only.

I would like a way to create a "Editable" album, where people I share the album with can add photos.

              • Shared With Me view should show files / folders shared from other organizations

Shared With Me only shows files shared by colleagues within an organization. If files are shared from another organize they don't show up under the "Shared With Me" view. The only way to access files shared from another organization is to know the direct URL.

                • Allow shared folders to be stored within sub folders

The new feature that allows shared folders to be synced on the desktop is awesome.
however, shared folders are added to the root of the OneDrive folder and cannot be nested into the file structure. That is an issue : the root folder will soon be full of random shared folder. Allow us to store them where they belong ! Think of project-related stuff, pictures that you want to store in your "summer 2015" folder,...
Google Drive implementation is fine : you get an overview of all shared folders on the website ("shared with me" tab) and you can nest…

                  • Prevent shared files from being downloaded

I think it would be great if there was some setting to turn download's of a shared file or folder ON\OFF... what I mean is suppose I want to share a File\Folder with someone, I would only want them to be able to view\edit it online and not be able to download it onto their computer.. to take this idea further, it could also be helpful if you could prevent copying content from shared files... the download permission could probably be visible once a user decides to share a particular file with someone

At SharePoint Conference North America this past May, we demonstrated the ability to create and send sharing links that blocks recipients from downloading the file. In this first iteration, this feature will be supported for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.

We will be shipping this to OneDrive for Business and SharePoint users later this year.

                    • Request that someone sends a file to me

I (and my users) often need to request large files from a contact outside my organization, but Office 365 and OneDrive do not provide this functionality in a simple way. Microsoft support tells me to “either create a shared Sharepoint site or ask the other party to upload files to their own OneDrive and share the file”. Both of these “solutions” require the other party to have a Microsoft ID and force me into the awkward position of being a Microsoft evangelist (as I tell them how to get a Microsoft ID, upload the file, and then share it with…

                      • Sharing between OneDrive Personal and OneDrive for Business

One should be able to share a file from a OneDrive Personal Account to a OneDrive for Business Account.

Right now, the shared file doesn't appear in the receivers Business Account, but only in the Personal Account. But that is useless for people using Business primarily.

                        Example:

A private person owns a OneDrive Personal Account. He/She wants to share project files to a company, which will then work with these files. Sadly the files don't appear in the OneDrive for Business Account of the employee of the company, but they appear in the employees personal Account and mix up with…

                        • More secure file sharing for OneDrive Personal

Today a shared folder or document ist just protected by the link to it. If someone captures the email containing the link, then he has access to all the shared files.
To share more confidential files I would like to share with a specific microsoft account. Then the files are at least as secure as the microsoft account of the person i shared the files with.

                          Marketing consideration:
Why to pay for office 365 home for 5 family members when I can't share the 1 TB of OneDrive space securely with them?

To make OneDrive sharing more secure, we created password-protected sharing links. Now, when you’re getting a link to a file or folder you can set a custom password to protect it. Only people who know the password will be able to open the link.

This solution doesn’t require senders to know the recipient’s Microsoft Account address, nor does it require recipients to create a Microsoft Account if they don’t have one.

We’re gonna leave this item open for now pending feedback. Please try it out and let us know what you think!

                          • Automatically shorten urls for publicly shared items from OneDrive for Business and SharePoint Online

Automatically shorten the urls for publicly shared items from SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business, similar to what is available in OneDrive.

When the feature is complete the urls generated by Get a Link / Create Link should be shortened automatically (possibly using http://1dr.ms) and a similar feature should be introduced in Sharepoint Online document libraries.

                            • Share links dangerously default to view and edit

Copied wholesale from another link as it appears to be archived:
                              https://onedrive.uservoice.com/forums/262982-onedrive-archive/suggestions/15445719-share-links-dangerously-default-to-view-and-edit

File sharing currently defaults to creating a link with both view AND edit permissions. This link is retained, without any indication to the user, even when the user deselects the allow edit permissions box.

This is a VERY dangerous security flaw because some search engines are capable of discovering these links by brute force. I had one of my excel files completely *nuked* by an anonymous rando that had found the view+edit link that I never knew had been created (even though I only ever explicitly shared a…

                              • Expiration date on files and folders

Sometimes you want to share some files or photos temporary with someone so that he/she can download. If you can select in the menu a date until when the folder is accessible the process is automated. I do not need to go back to the folder and remove the access rights manually. Also it makes sure that I do not forget to remove the access rights.

                                • Stop further sharing of file/document/folder

As per my understanding when I share the file/document/folder with one user, that specific user can also further share the same file/document/folder with other users. It would be better if we can have this kind of functionality that when shared with any user, there would be an option that would allow user to restrict any further sharing with other users.

I have several customers who have asked to be able to set an expiration date on a cloud attachment when sending through Outlook. Currently, a sharing expiration date can only be set from OneDrive on the web or OneDrive on Windows.

                                    • Creating a Unidirectional anonymous syncronization folder

my idea is to have the ability of create a folder in a work computer (non personal or private), linked to an onedrive account, but, nobody can access to another folders of the account, only an unidrectional syncro folder.

Resuming, a folder in a public work pc, conected by onedrive pc software, and you can syncro, upload and download content inside this folder, but you cannot change configurations, or see another folders or archives of the main onedrive account. you can only see your asigned public folder. maybe the email of the main account, and nothing more.

                                      just like a…

                                      • Sharing files/folders to a Group does not show up in users "Shared with me" folder.

When sharing a file or folder to a SharePoint Group, the users do not receive an invitation email and they can only access the shared files/folders via a URL link. These shares do not show up under their "Shared with Me" folder. This really defeats the purpose of sharing with a group. The idea is to make sharing with large numbers of users easier. Set up a group, then share with them. Please fix this.

Thanks for the suggestion. This is something we’ll look at as part of improvements to the Shared with Me view.

                                        • Hide the Print Details from the screen when printing files from Word Online

                                          ■Title(件名):
OneDrive for Business に保存している Word Online の印刷設定について

Hide the Print Details from the screen when printing files from Word Online
                                          ***************
                                          ■Description(内容):
OneDrive for Business に保存している Word ファイルを Word Online で開いて印刷する際に表示される印刷設定の詳細を非表示にする機能を搭載してほしい。

When we try to print word files which saved on OneDrive for Business from Word Online, the “Print Details” is displayed automatically.

Since there is no option available to hide Print Details, it will be nice if we could choose to display/hide the Print Details freely.

                                          Thank you for your consideration.
