Office 365 Home: Request File Feature for OneDrive
This feature is inaccessible for 365 Home users. It is only available for 365 Business users for reasons never explained. Please make it available for both.
The existence of this feature and its nonexistence within the OneDrive for a Home subscription is not stated during the purchase of the plan and is missing from the plan details. Whatsmore, Home users pay more for additional utilities (sway, skype, etc) with their 365 than the base business plan or business plan 1), but are still not afforded this feature. That leaves you with the option of paying more for what you don't need or paying less and getting fewer features. No happy medium. What is the engineering team between these two separate products thinking?
Why shouldn't a Home user want this feature? The ability to request files, photos, videos; generally, anything from anyone with a simple email and both consumers having a hassle-free, seamless upload (no making or logging into a Microsoft account) is an ideal customer experience. Freelancers, hobbyists, family units will utilize this. This "request a file" feature is an industry-standard for collaboratively uploading to cloud storage without having an account. You get this feature FREE - no subscription, no business vs. personal account - via your biggest cloud service competitors using only a personal/home account. What's stopping the access to this new feature between home and business is just a brand name and some convoluted market verticals.

Exact this! Since October, Office365 is advertising this feature over its social media channels. I took me two month to figure out this is only available for Business users. It's embarrassing.
Honestly also unclear why Office365 is missing the chance to let me advertise within my family for OneDrive when i send them a link to upload the latest party photos.
