  1. Share multiple files

Select multiple files (explorer and browser) and share the selected files all at once.

  2. Save the shared file link to your account with a click rather than download

When someone shared a file link that opens up the file, there should be an option to "Add to OneDrive" rather than just Download the file or view online.

  3. More Support For failed-to-sync Documents

I'm frustrated with the syncing issues I experience with OneDrive when there are multiple people in the document making changes. It has failed one too many times to the point where wrong documents have been sent out because someones changes didn't sync through. It seems to be too sensitive for this kind of stuff and very temperamental. I initially thought this was a wonderful feature but now I'm starting to really doubt its capabilities. There has to be a way to track peoples changes, or offer a solution, when the document fails for someone. Some kind of overall master merger…

  4. Allow options to watermark files that are sharing out externally

Allow options to watermark the files to share our externally. So if the files are leaked, there will be either an IP or username watermarked to the document.

  5. Skip sync for a given regex pattern.

There must be a possibility to provide some ignore patterns from syncing the folder.
    If there are folders named:

    Documents, Folder1, tmp, Folder2/tmp etc.

then I would like to have a possibility to mark "tmp*" to ignore from being sync irrespective of location.

  6. Allow files/folders to be moved or renamed without breaking sharing links

When sharing files and folders SharePoint Online/OneDrive for Business should use a Guid based URL. I have learned that changing a user's UPN or even the name of a folder or file can break those links due to the URL format.

Box uses a unique folder or file id for all items and no matter if I move that file/folder or change the user's username the link does not break.

  7. Allow B2B Sharing without allowing guests to sync

If I share content with a customer through B2B, they are/will be able to sync the content. When I remove the permissions, the content remains on their system (as I understand for Microsoft's documentation on B2B sync).
This is opens up the potential for data leaks, since I'm no longer in control of my company's data. I would therefor like to allow B2B Sharing, but block users from syncing.

  9. version history label

Allow file version history label/tags. File version history is a great idea but to better build it in to my workflow I'd like to be able to label or tag particular versions when I save so I can baseline the work up to that point.

Examples might be "Before review", or "all data merged", or "sent to print" - names which add meaning to successive saves.

Without these, it's a great mechanism and safety net, but labels/tags will let it rise into higher levels of workflow

  10. Have a Read only pop up for PDF Forms already in use

I currently share our many PDF forms and multiple people edit them on mobile devices. If two people have one file open, there’s no warning that data could be compromised. Whoever closes out the file last will have their edits saved. I would love to see a Read only notification when trying to access the form so that there’s no confusion. Much like how Excel will give you that same type of warning so you don’t end up with lost data.

    Thanks for your consideration.

  11. enable sharing to specific people - same options as in onedrive for business

Currently users of OneDrive don't have any option for sharing other than providing a link. invited users can see the folder/ file in their shared folder, however the folder is open to anyone who by chance may have the link! the internet provider could be one, the office administrator, and so on...

this is a huge privacy gap.

  12. Possibility to preset the view-option for shared folders (e.g. "Photo" for Picture Galeries)

It would be great, if you could preset the view-option for shared folders.
So far, "List view" is automatically preset. But not only for photographers it would be great, if they could preset folders that only contain pictures to"Photo view".
It would be sufficient, if the folder would "memorise" the last view that the owner has used.

  13. OneDrive cache server in local network

We use OneDrive for Business to work with documents like Word and Excel files. But there are also very large files, e.g. bitmap images with todays resolutions or Adobe InDesign files. Those files sum up to several TB in our case.

Thus, the user experience for users working with this kind of files on a regular basis is poor, because there are only two options for us:
    a) We provide users with more local storage on their hard drives
    - Benefits: instant access to files
    - Disadvantages: contradicts cloud idea, does not scale, expensive
    b) Download files on access from…

  15. Disable file selection from shared archived files or don't show the files inside.

On OneDrive Business, when you share an archive with people outside of your organization, they see the contents of the archive.

That's Ok but I've noticed that many people try and select 1 file from the archive to download at which point it will not let you download anything.

His happened multiple times and people keep writing back that the link is not working or that they cannot download it.

    The solution would be:
    1. To either don't show a preview of what's inside the archive so they only have the option to download. (Like in Google Drive)
    2. Show…

  16. More control sharing a folder

I've been working on shared folders with different teams on my company, but only my account can control permissions on the files uploaded in that shared folder even if the file was uploaded by another person. I think they would control if someone has permissions to edit or view a file if they want to, not depending from my account permissions.

  17. Sending files to drive through emailing

I hope to see an option like an address for the drive where we can sent emails to and the attachments are saved on the drive.

  18. Allow addition of alias names for shared folders

I share folders all the time with other users and vice versa. The issue becomes their naming structure can actually start interfering with ours. Think of having 10 people share "Pictures" and some from the same person!!! I want the ability to add alias names to folders to keep naming consistent with my filing system.

  19. sync Onedrive to azure joined PC only

Onedrive shoud be able to sync when a user is logged on to a Azure joined PC. When the same user is not logged on to an Azure joined PC (for instance private PC or from a different company) the user should not be allowed to sync Onedrive.
Can this be made possible? Is is it possible already?

  20. Allow different levels of access to different files in a shared folder

If I share a folder, it would be nice to not have to give full edit access to every file or only view only to every file.

I want to be able to have the shared person to have edit access to some files and view only to the rest.

Trying to put view only on one file in the shared folder puts them to view only for every file.
