  1. You cant combine storage

It is absurd that you buy 6 Tb in Microsoft Familly and you can only use 1 Tb. In Google Drive and iCloud if you buy 6 Tb you can use 6 Tb. Not at Microsoft. Multiple emails are required and you cannot combine storage. Each day I get more disappointed with Microsoft's services.

  2. manager

Change the OneDrive retention and deletion process..
OneDrive deletion process should be disabled by default. -> "If a manager is specified for the deleted account, the manager will receive an email telling them they have access to the OneDrive, and that the OneDrive will be deleted at the end of the retention period."
The manager field is in Active Directory, on users objects.

  3. Index items in the recycle bin for eDiscovery

Currently in OneDrive: "The Recycle Bin is not indexed and therefore unavailable for searching. As a result, an eDiscovery search can't find any Recycle Bin content on which to place a hold."

This seems to be a huge and glaring issue as people intuitively would believe eDiscovery results run against OneDrive would encompass all areas. It does not make sense that an investigation would miss a critical piece of evidence because someone had deleted it. It seems probable that people may delete data they do not want found, so it is counterintuitive that this location is not indexed. This should…

  4. Incentives for Malicious Site Reporters (phishing) @msftsecurity

    Hi,

I have two suggestions, both related to phishing attacks against Microsoft.

    ▶Make phishing reports traceable!

The phishing reports sent to hXXps://www[.]microsoft[.]com/en-us/wdsi/support/report-unsafe-site-guest
result in a generic "thank you" message, and thus give me impression that go into a black hole.

No ticket, no OLA, no trace that the report has ever been sent nor received.
This severely discourages independent security analysts like myself from using your reporting system,
even if it is related to Microsoft products like Outlook or OneDrive.

Create and API for reporting, not only the clunky web form.

    ▶Create a report-gift system.
    Count legit reports sent out…

  6. Adding a feature not to sync files distinguished and protected by DLP (Data Loss Prevention) system

    *English follows Japanese
    ■Title(件名):
    DLP で機密情報が含まれていると判定されたファイルの同期を禁止する機能を搭載してほしい

Adding a feature not to sync files distinguished and protected by DLP (Data Loss Prevention) system

It is afraid that syncing of files distinguished and protected by DLP system with local devices will occur serious leakage of personal or internal information. In accord with ominous repercussions, we hope that this needed feature will improve manageability of safe control and promote operational efficiency with bounding tighter security.

  7. Increase amount of paid storage and lower the price.

1 TB of storage is great, but there are times when we need a lot more (pictures, videos, etc.). We can buy additional storage up to 2 TB, but this is often not enough. I have two requests:
    1. Allow M365 subscribers to purchase more than a total of 2 TB (perhaps up to 5 TB).
    2. Reduce the price for storage so that the 5TB plan is $10/mo--e.g., 2 TB plan is $4/mo, 3 TB plan is $6/mo, 4 TB plan is $8/mo, and 5TB plan is $10/mo.

The current pricing of extra storage for OneDrive doesn't make sense.…

  8. Expire

File expiration date: user defined expiration date of the file on onedrive. For example, product offers which user may want to get back to; or saved emails which may not be relevant or important to hold on to.
Absolves the user from recurring purging of files.

  9. New pricing model for six people

New pricing model for six people so we can utilize the OneDrive only like 200GB shared between 6 family persons, and without Office365 so it can be affordable.

  10. Option to fully ignore symlinks (symbolic links)

I would normally upload source code for various projects to synchronize between my desktop and laptop however there are plenty of vendor packages which are redundant that can be symlinked and/or updated via the Internet.

Having an option to ignore symlinked directories within onedrive would solve this issue quite easily at near zero development cost on your end. The only gotcha is synching this option between all logged in onedrive instances.

  12. Eliminate Security Issues Created by Incompatible Storage Features

File management has been a nightmare for years and OneDrive is making things more complicated by adding to the number of extra steps we have to take in order to have a somewhat consistent experience. Here are just a few problems:

Storing your files on an NTFS drive lets you encrypt, compress, view zip file as regular folder, set permissions, file history, use bitlocker, file tagging, customize data shown in columns, file attributes, using time stamps for various automated or auditing purposes, LAN sharing over SMB 2/3, and offline caching. All of these features can often be put to good…

  14. Onedrive Client Type Metrics

Please introduce a way of monitoring what type of client is used to connect to OneDrive and SharePoint libraries. (ideally somewhere like the Unified Logging or OneDrive Logging on O365)

This and other metrics would be useful for justification for developing strategies going forward about what software to have installed on our corp wide domain.

  15. Allow syncing only on computers joined to a local workgroup

Allow only syncing on PC's connected to an Azure domain. The setting is in OneDrive Admin but it only works for local AD domains. It doesn't say that so it is very confusing but I found an article on that from a third party and Microsoft agreed it was true. Allow only syncing on PC's connected to an Azure domain.

  16. Problem with subscription

    Hello.
I have a problem. I have 15GB in the cloud for free + 4GB invitation bonus + 15GB camera album. In the amount of 34GB.
But when I buy a 100GB subscription, I get 119GB. 15GB free fade out. It turns out that I pay for 85GB. Solve the problem

  18. Optimizing the Order of File Transfer

Optimizing the Order of File Transfer
Arrange the order of files according to the requirements.
First download or upload the latest files, then download or upload the old files, and finally process the deleted files.
This will prevent the current amendments and new documents from being processed in a timely manner.

  19. Litigation Hold on Account - Don't need a license to keep OneDrive Info

Currently, if someone in our company gets put on a Litigation hold, and they want us to keep their OneDrive for Business files, we would like to not have it eat up a license to keep the files. This is similar to how Mail acts the same way.

  20. Allow the programatic management of OneDrive permissions

We have retention policies on OneDrive for legal reasons.
We sync from an on-prem AD so when someone leaves and then returns after their account has been hard deleted from AzureAD,
OneDrive retains the old object GUIDS but only displays the display name in the SharePoint GUI.
This makes it very hard to proactively manage when you have several hundred staff/student turnover each year and no way to identify these sorts of errors and correct before it becomes a problem.
