How can we improve the OneDrive Developer Platform?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

  2. The ability to create shortcut files within other files, like you can do with Folders on a PC.

  4. Please let the power consumption be lower.

    I like the function of OneDrive in sharing files in different platform. But the power consumption with OneDrive is too much for my Surface tablet as enabling the sync. feature. Otherwise, I have to disable/enable the feature manually.

  6. Duplicate file scanner for all of One drive please.

    A piece of software (like a MD5 checksum scanner) or an addition to One Drive that will scan the whole drive for duplicate files would be extremely helpful.

  9. you keep asking me to sign in when you are the one that as a fault

    I have been trying to sing into my account, you do not follow the 2 step protocol set up, you do not send a code to my land line and you then tell me that there is a temporary fault on the system. This has been happening since the middle of June 2020. I can no longer retrieve any of my work that WAS WITHOUT permission placed under the OneDrive app. I have a new laptop that might just be as well and a screen saver. Can I get compensation for all the hours spend just trying to get into…

  13. ignore files and directories similar to .gitignore

    ignore files or directories in a similar way as done by git ...
    example I want to cloud my application in nodejs, in this case I need to ignore the node_modules directory ... if it were a python application, I could ignore the venv directory (virtualenv)

  17. Power Automate - Intermittent issues with 'Convert file using path (preview)'

    I'm experiencing random and intermittent errors (400) when using the 'Convert file using path (preview)' step in Power Automate.

    I'm converting a valid HTML File into a PDF File. I have used the same HTML Test File in succession 20 times and I'm getting about a 25% failure rate.

    The error is always the same: "Conversion of this file to PDF is not supported.".

    However, I can use the "Resubmit" button in Automate, to re-run the failed Flow execution, and it often works on the 2nd time. It seems to be completely random.
