  1. Support MD5 checksum

Other cloud service providers provide MD5 checksum values (Google, Amazon, etc). By providing MD5 checksums (in addition sha1 and crc32), you allow developers to compare file integrity when importing or exporting to/from OneDrive.

  5. Include TAGS in API

OneDrive adds a number of Tags against a photo like, Beach, Cat, ...
When querying meta data against a Photo, it would be great to also include these TAGS.

  6. Support wildcards in redirect_uri

    x.mysite.com and y.mysite.com are for 2 of my customers: x and y.
And I get new customers a, b, c, etc without my intervention.
As of now, I have to add by hand a.mysite.com/onedrive in redirect_uri app settings for every new customer and it is painful.

  9. API access to Albums

I want to be able to access, read and edit a user's Albums via the OneDrive API.

I am talking about the Albums which are not folders and were announced in January 2015. https://blog.onedrive.com/introducing-an-all-new-way-to-view-manage-and-share-your-photos-in-onedrive/

  15. return resumeable upload collision error during session creation

When uploading with the resumeable upload API (upload.createSession) with @name.conflictBehavior : fail, it currently only returns a "nameAlreadyExists" error once the upload is completed.

It would be much nicer to have an error returned on the initial createSession call already. This saves apps either an extra api call before the upload to check if a file already exists, or saves a lot of bandwitdh if it's just uploaded without checking first.

The same would also be useful for max filesize exceeded errors, although that's much easier to check clientside so not that useful.

  16. Implement support for downloading a number of bytes from the end of file using the HTTP Range header

At the moment OneDrive REST API supports partial download of files via the HTTP Range header. It's possible to download either
    * a specified byte range via supplying "Range: bytes=5000-15000" header
    * or everything from the specified byte position till the end of the file via "Range: bytes=5000-" header

But according to the RFC 7233 "Range Requests", conformant servers should also support downloading a specified number of bytes from the end of the file via a "Range: bytes=-5000" header.

At the moment this is not the case - OneDrive API always returns HTTP 200 with whole file content as response.

  18. Allow all redirect URLs for a domain

Instead of requiring every individual redirect URL to be entered, allow all redirect URLs that are rooted to the domain configured for the app.

  19. access from device or embedded system

with IOT explosion, many small devices may need upload data/file to onedrive. With OAuth 2.0 flow, the consent screen is displayed in browser, which is not available in embedded Linux or small devices.

Alternatives for browser authorization flow is needed. User can provide email; consent screen can be replaced by an email with a link to confirm authorization. Or a code user can input on a PC to confirm the authorization.

  20. Allow you to select an external folder to upload to OneDrive

It would be great if you could select an external folder on your hard drive through the OneDrive app, and it will batch upload it to your OneDrive.

At the minute, you have to move the contents of a folder to the OneDrive folder. I'm not talking about adding an external folder to OneDrive that will get synced. Just a 1 time upload.
