We’ve identified and fixed several issues that caused high CPU on macOS devices. We have additional work planned to make improvements in this area.

On Catalina, the app is often eating up the CPU almost at 100%. Investigating the process, Onedrive is continuously carrying out a scan of all the files, and hence this is highly visible for large Onedrive accounts. In my case, most of the issue is with my business account. Ironically, only a small fraction of the file are actually stored in my mac (3GB), while the most part is only logically present (225GB).
Really annoying, and in any case not comparable with other cloud solutions (Dropbox, gdrive, nextcloud, ecc)
