    FILE CONFLICT RULES

I am the Backup Administrator for my company and the way OneDrive handles file conflicts is just awful. In the event of a conflict, instead of asking me which file to keep, it just duplicates the file, resulting in thousands of extra files wasting GB of space. This is a nightmare to clean up since Windows Search doesn't locate the duplicates properly. Maybe the OneDrive team should talk to EMC about how Avamar and Networker handle conflicts and deduplication.

As far as suggestions go, I'd like to see some basic conflict rules added to OneDrive. For example, add a setting that designates which copy wins in the event of a conflict (local or server) with the losing copy going to the Recycle Bin. This would solve the file duplication and wasted space issues.
