OneDrive syncs fine to an external drive, but fails after removing the drive and reattaching it.
We’re looking at two related pieces of this:
1) For OneDrive for Business, enable shared folders to be added to the root of the OneDrive folder at all (like in OneDrive Personal).
2) For OneDrive across business and personal, enable shared folders to be placed into subfolders.
We appreciate your patience; this is significant engineering work given the architecture of the products and our diverse customer base, spanning individuals to small businesses to multi-national enterprises to government agencies. We aim to address this while maintaining our industry-leading security, privacy, and compliance commitments.

I have just spent an hour trying to figure out why an item shared with me from a MS account outside my organization is not appearing in Shared with Me. And to find this post where I can actually vote for it to be fixed.
Please, please, please focus more on quality control. A feature must do what it says it will do. Microsoft will be far more successful in achieving its mission of empowering every individual to achieve more if it weighed controlling quality above rolling out new functionality.
