Google Drive is now capable of doing this and so is iCloud Drive. Should be possible with OneDrive also.

I still have to use iCloud Drive because this isn't possible. This would be the final killer feature for OneDrive.

Dropbox implements this as "View on Dropbox.com" or "Manage Access" which both launch the web version.

Hi, can you tell us more about what you’re looking for? Have you seen the suggestion for shared / co-owned folders? Is that what you’re looking for? Thank you.

Shared/Co-owned folders is one part of this, but not all of it. With offerings like Dropbox I have the ability to share a file by creating a link to a file that I can send to a user. You can right-click (double touch click) on a file "Copy Dropbox Link". That URL is copied to the clipboard as well as shared publicly so that I can send that link to a person via email.
