OneDrive sync is slow and pegs the Core i7 on my 2018 MacBook Pro to the point that it's been killing my battery life. I even took it to the Apple Store for diagnostics because I thought my battery was defective!
After disabling OneDrive, I no longer see abnormal battery life. I'm actually considering paying for Dropbox (with incremental sync) even though I get 1TB free storage with my Office 365 account. Please, please, please make the sync engine more efficient and only sync changes, NOT entire files!

We announced differential sync at the SharePoint Conference in May. We’ve already rolled it out to our OneDrive personal users and plan to roll it out to the rest of our users by end of this year. See this blog post for more details: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-OneDrive-Blog/OneDrive-announcements-SharePoint-Conference-2019/ba-p/616047.
We’ve identified and fixed several issues that caused high CPU on macOS devices. We have additional work planned to make improvements in this area.

Funny thing is, Mac Finder shows a specific OneDrive icon in Favorites on one of my Macs but not the other!?
Whether bug or an old cached image, I agree it should always have a unique icon, not just a generic folder. All the other players do this (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.) and it makes it much easier to quickly access the favorite you want.
