    This issue is not about setting up new PCs. It's about a number of people in an office (or large household for that matter) environment having the same files sync-ed (sunc?), and any files being updated needing to be sync-ed via the cloud. That's lots of bandwidth being used just to stay in sync.

    Yep, the bandwidth usage is significant (it's doing a lot of very clever stuff, after all!!)

    Wow, indeed.
    With over 4.5k votes, i'd have hope that it is getting close to the top of the 'backlog'.
    There was a comment about this being needed for SMBs, but frankly for larger organisations too - why put all this burden on the ISP and the customers bandwidth.

    with more and more files being moved to OneDrive this feature makes sense. it could also open up some options for business recovery in the event of internet outage (may be more relevant to SMBs). the internet usage of modern business is significant, and only going to grow, so any help to reduce this would be great. also it should help make co-authoring on large files more snappy.
