I was looking for exactly the same capability. Had been using a 3rd party tool (whose name eludes me now) but no longer supported and broken with apparent changes to OneDrive logon API, so really need to have the option for this - have run OneDrive as a service, but this seems to not 100% reliable and is difficult to manage, so an option to take an existing OneDrive configuration, have it run as a service and then be able to manage it directly from the native UI would be a really great addition.

We’re looking at two related pieces of this:
1) For OneDrive for Business, enable shared folders to be added to the root of the OneDrive folder at all (like in OneDrive Personal).
2) For OneDrive across business and personal, enable shared folders to be placed into subfolders. We appreciate your patience; this is significant engineering work given the architecture of the products and our diverse customer base, spanning individuals to small businesses to multi-national enterprises to government agencies. We aim to address this while maintaining our industry-leading security, privacy, and compliance commitments.
Thank you for the continued feedback.

Adding my support for this, even though the idea was blocked by Microsoft previously (can't see when). Not sure why this is seen as not being something to be provided, given that Microsoft seem to see Android as the preferred mobile ecosystem, and they fully enable multiple Microsoft accounts and therefore multiple OneDrive accounts on the Windows ecosystem, including on the now dying (dead) Windows 10 Mobile.
