Wanted to provide an update: there are no specifics we can share about this request, but I will share with our team who is thinking through the next set of photo investments so this can influence their planning process. Thank you.
If we are taking time to add captions to photos we are Sharing to friends and family, then these should be visible automatically; say superimposed over the image.
This needs to be implemented across the board, particularly on mobile apps for Android and iOS (as most people access shared photos from these devices).
If we are spending time to create an experience for our recipients, then this needs to be done or we are just wasting our time.
In the same vein, the ability to then make commenting much more visible would drive further usability and interaction with the experiences we are creating.
I spend alot of time uploading and captioning photo slideshows for family and friends.
To their disappointment they tell me they can't see any captions or ways to comment!
I can only think they are accessing shared photos via a mobile OneDrive app.
Please allow for captions to viewed and comments enabled. Without this, there is no context to photo albums and personally I am wasting my time!
Wanted to provide an update here: this is something we’re planning on doing, but don’t have a timeframe to share yet
Sure, auto tagging would be useful.
But still waiting for a response from the OneDrive team regarding the storage debacle. A stupid move that has seriously damaged our trust in Microsoft.
