It would be great to see OneDrive function as a complete file repository, not just for files directly supported by Office. That is what keeps us from moving over entirely as well.

We’re looking at two related pieces of this:
    1) For OneDrive for Business, enable shared folders to be added to the root of the OneDrive folder at all (like in OneDrive Personal).
    2) For OneDrive across business and personal, enable shared folders to be placed into subfolders.

We appreciate your patience; this is significant engineering work given the architecture of the products and our diverse customer base, spanning individuals to small businesses to multi-national enterprises to government agencies. We aim to address this while maintaining our industry-leading security, privacy, and compliance commitments.

Thank you for the continued feedback.

Douglas, I hope you and your team are still thinking about this. We are rolling out Office 365 with our teaching staff this year, and I know this is going to be a sticking point. For some, it will be reason enough to not use the platform. For all, it will cause headaches for "where is that file" and "why do I have so much junk shared with me?" Yes, things can be deleted. Yes, search is possible -- if you know the words to use to find what you're looking for. All of that is time taken away from our teachers doing their best work: teaching our students. I'm going to try to promote Office 365 as a time saver; the lack of ability to properly organize OneDrive (the "Shared with Me" folder and inability to move files from "Shared with Me" to "Files") is going to cause that promotion to blow up in my face. Please. Figure out this feature. I promise you it will be worthwhile. People WILL leave for Google Drive over this one feature.
