This feature has rolled out for files (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/use-group-policy#exclude-specific-kinds-of-files-from-being-uploaded) and we are looking to expanding it to folders in the future.

We're in a GCC tenant and just tried a test of this. It appears that it's not yet available for us. Can you let us know if there is a timeframe when GCC tenants will be able to use the GPO extension?

FYI: The Group Policy based setting named "Exclude specific kinds of files from being uploaded" is still broken in the latest version of the Windows sync client (v21.002.0104.0004).

So, version 21.002.0104.0004 of the Windows sync client has been released. Testing has shown that this feature is still broken. The registry entries implemented by the Group Policy are completely ignored by the sync client.

We're intentionally blocking *.lnk files from being synced, but the "error" icon overlay is causing our users much confusion. It would be better to not show a sync status for files which are blocked for syncing (or at least let us use a Group Policy to control this).

Why is OneDrive for Business the only MS Office application which does not yet support SSO?

I'd like to let Microsoft know that this feature is NOT working, even with the most recent build of v21.002.0104.0004. Yes, we've deployed the most recent ADMX files and have correctly implemented the required Group Policy settings. The files which we'd like to exclude are still being synced.
