We have been working on several memory leak fixes recently. One of the main ones was fixed with Standalone version 19.086.0502.0008 and Store version 19.103.0527.0003. If you are not on one of those builds or higher, please update first. If you are still experiencing issues after updating, let us know. We will continue to focus on performance improvements, including memory utilization.Martin commented
This needs to be resolved in a quick manner as it is hindering work. The switching cost of changing cloud storage providers is very low. Moving to competitors will be the next course of action if immediate measures are not taken to address this.

We announced differential sync at the SharePoint Conference in May. We’ve already rolled it out to our OneDrive personal users and plan to roll it out to the rest of our users by end of this year. See this blog post for more details: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/Microsoft-OneDrive-Blog/OneDrive-announcements-SharePoint-Conference-2019/ba-p/616047.
Wanted to provide an update: we’ll consider this for our roadmap going forward, but don’t have any further specifics we can share at this time.
Wanted to provide an update here: we are planning improvements for our photos experience; but don’t have a timetable to share just yet about this particular ask.
We’re working on the ability to share a file or folder with a specific Microsoft Account.
We’re looking at two related pieces of this:
1) For OneDrive for Business, enable shared folders to be added to the root of the OneDrive folder at all (like in OneDrive Personal).
2) For OneDrive across business and personal, enable shared folders to be placed into subfolders.
We appreciate your patience; this is significant engineering work given the architecture of the products and our diverse customer base, spanning individuals to small businesses to multi-national enterprises to government agencies. We aim to address this while maintaining our industry-leading security, privacy, and compliance commitments.
Thank you for the continued feedback.Martin commented
This is so imperative to the sharing experience. It should have been started already.
We’ve identified and fixed several issues that caused high CPU on macOS devices. We have additional work planned to make improvements in this area.

We are focused on performance of the client across various scenarios: new files, file edits, initial sync. We’ve made numerous improvements over the course of the past year and have additional work planned in this area.
