   While we don’t have an update here for adding metadata tags to files, we are continuing to explore this as part of the future roadmap. We recently announced the ability to edit existing metadata from within Teams and will continue to invest in metadata scenarios.

   The ability to tag in metadata will allow virtual folders based on tags, where one document (film, photo, powerpoint, report etc) will appear in all the contexts where it would be relevant.
