I fully agree with all the comments. If Microsoft are serious about supporting Mac users this needs to be sorted. Apple have now moved ahead with another OS whilst the team is still 'Thinking about it' and have been since 2016. Maybe Microsoft needs fewer philosophers and more programmers/software engineers.
This is a major flaw in OneDrive and worse as customers find the failing for themselves AFTER purchasing the service.
I run a small business and cannot afford such failings. As such I am seriously considering moving to another cloud provider. Nothing works on External Drives - Not uploading amended files nor Files on Demand. Download is fine but that means I have to store in Onedrive folder and then upload via the web. Nonsense.
Can someone at Microsoft please at least have the courtesy to give us some form of technical roadmap so that customers can make informed decisions as to wether to stay with Onedrive or move to Google drive. I seriously have been looking at ways of integrating Google Drive or Amazon into my Office365 for Business environment.
I am trying to emailed Steven Bailey who is Director of Engineering of the OneDrive and SharePoint Group. Maybe he can shed some light on the situation.
