Since weeks I was just as annoyed as most of you here, to put it mildly. So when I came across this thread yesterday at least I knew I wasn't alone.
aaaand *drumroll*, *tatataaa* I came across a working solution. Yes, there is one. And it's working. And simple... and. well. it's one more evidence that M$ made OneDrive behave the way it does by intention. Because, as someone else wrote down there, forcefully overwriting the configvurqtion of the users Favorites is against Apple's style- and UI-guides. An app behaving so bad would not be pass Apple's QA and therefore wouldn't be availabler on the AppStore. but it is. And that's the simple solution: Quit OneDrive which you, me, we all got as a download from MS. Then delete the /Applications/OneDrive in Finder, go to AppStore, install OneDrive from there, re-authorize, wait - done. Now change Finder's Favorite Section to your wishes, reboot and... problem solved.Woodstock supported this idea ·
