Yes - all the other Cloud Services I use (for work and other organizations) like Box, Sync.com, and Dropbox all allow this. Allows us to have multiple services (Like Work and Civic support) and keep the directory structure (like under Documents) intact.
Besides, it is a supported OS construct and should be followed.
