At Ignite, we announced a new setting that will allow admins to exclude new files based on file name pattern or file extension. These files will have a new “excluded” icon. Announcement here: https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/microsoft-onedrive-blog/celebrating-the-top-onedrive-moments-from-microsoft-ignite-2020/ba-p/1679821. This feature will be rolling out later this year and we are thinking of expanding it to folders after that.

Please make this a thing. Currently, this ends up being a copy of the core of our drives, which is where a ton of programs plant there stuff. So many unnecessary files end up here, and it becomes a jumbled mess. And with many of them, due to the nature or quirks of the program, we can't just "move them outside" the OneDrive directory. Give us the power to exclude/choose the specific files we sync to OneDrive.Anonymous supported this idea ·
