You guys. Right now I could open a student file from a vice principal. The date is last fall. So, how is a file from 6 months ago used by one person, "popular around me." Secondly, this is like putting glass doors in the bathroom. I don't want to see other peoples'... Well, you get the picture. I hope you also get the point. This is a horrendously facebookie feature. Meaningless, pointless, but hey, you get to scream "update."
But the coup de grat is this: It distracts me from concentrating on MY work and finding files efficiently. MS, don't forget where you came from. Typewriters. The only reason any one grabbed a computer in 1981 was to get rid of their typewriter. It was more efficient to create documents and save them in one small location. But you guys, clippy, remember that. Whenever you try to be the non nerdy version of yourself, it's hollow and fake and everyone but you gets it.
