We're' shopping for an alternative OneDrive client for MacOS. Lots of options out there (MountainDuck, ExpanDrive, GoodSync) but none provide a way of backing up Mac Documents and Desktop. I had one promising suggestion from M6iT Consulting that involved putting a Symbolic Link for the Desktop and Document folders into a subfolder inside OneDrive. However, it appears OneDrive ignores Symbolic Links altogether. Can you help?

How may I find out if this moves out of the "Thinking About It" stage to "Working On It"? This is a long, long requested feature. Really important because we protect our users data by policy - but if it's not in OneDrive, I can't protect it. Then I get users backing up their desktop and documents to iCloud because OneDrive can't do this. They're bumping up against iCloud's meagre 5gb limit, and keeping me awake at night because data leaves our organization this way. I even tried using symlinks to do this, but it appears Microsoft turned off even this capability. Please help us.
