I think this would be great. Also feels related to this (which if readers agree, please also vote for)

(I added some additional use cases for these features in a comment in that thread, before seeing this one here)

I have this same issue, also.

    Some additional use cases:

On android, the camera app has an awesome portrait mode that creates a second photo with the background blurred. I often want to just keep that one and delete the original. By that time both are already backed up, so it is tedious to go back to OneDrive and delete them; especially if you are taking a few shots in one go.

Another scenario is sometimes I want to share a video (or photo) via WhatsApp - I find it sometimes useful to share the actual video/photo rather than a link to the uploaded one in OneDrive, for a few reasons: the video is often a reduced size so quicker to load/download for the recipient; the video can take a very long time to sync up to OneDrive, whereas the video sharing in WhatsApp is much quicker due to the much reduced size WhatsApp creates. The additional problem with the sync straight away, of video, is while sharing the file via WhatsApp we now have 2 uploads happening - the slow OneDrive sync and the WhatsApp upload which is slowed down by the first one..!

While there are options such as only upload while you have WiFi, or charging, during COVID lockdown, I am always at home so always on WiFi. As for only when charging, ironically the phone I have currently, the Pixel3a, has such an awesome battery life (2.5-3.5 days!!) that it can obviously take a while for the sync to occur using that option.

A setting to delay as the original post said, in some way, would be really helpful.
